We at iAccess wanted to say a big congratulations to @dylanalcott and thank you for taking an important leadership stance and speaking out about the importance of inclusion for all in this year’s @usopen.
Though initially the sport was to be left out of the competition, Dylan’s call to action has seen the competition revoke that statement and plan for the tournament to be run from September 10-13 2020.

The Australian Bureau of Statistics reports that 1 in 5 Australians have a disability. Many more identify as senior citizens, parents with multiple children in strollers or carriers or people who temporarily require alternative accessibility paths due to injury or illness.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

What that means is that we never plan a world just for the 1 in 5. We plan a world for 5 in 5 - we assume that every one of us will either need an inclusive feature ourselves, or know someone who does. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Over in Dubbo, Richard spent time last week on-site at the Dubbo Hospital's Western Cancer Centre Facility last week. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This $35 million cancer centre will house a PET diagnostic scanner and 16 chemotherapy treatment spaces and provide critical services and care to patients and families, much closer to home. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The cancer centre is part of the massive $150 million Dubbo Hospital redevelopment project current underway. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
